Community-Based Living

The members of Beit Elisha are an integral part of the community of Harduf and are fully integrated into the kibbutz social and cultural life. The "comunity within a comunity" model provides the members with a wide range of interactions within a supportive environment and enables members to grow and evolve. The kibbutz members of  Harduf benefit from the ongoing encounter and from a more inclusive society.

Beit Elisha offers 3 kinds of residential solutions  for its members:

  • Most of the members of Beit Elisha live in the three community homes situated in the heart of Kibbutz Harduf. Each home provides residence for a group of 8-10 men and women who receive full staff support.
  • A small group of members live in a more independent setting in private units within the kibbutz. They receive staff support according to their needs and abilities.
  • Members who want to experience a more urban environment, live in three apartments in the nearby town of Tivon. The members who live in Tivon come to work in the workshops in Harduf and return to their homes in the afternoons.
