Kamah's comprehensive programs cause noteworthy change
in our members' lives. However, such rich and varied programs
have high expenses. Governmental social services provide very limited funds. Kamah is seeking funding partners to continue to
carry out such important curative programs. We have formed partnerships with private donors, foundations, and Jewish federations, to continue to provide the excellent care that we have become known for.
Upon the completion of the building of the first stage of Kamah Center, we are now getting ready to start the building of the second stage which will include:
n Multipurpose hall n Assembly hall n Central kitchen for the curative communities n Shop/Gallery n Vocational workshops: weaving, wood, sewing
The total cost of the building of the second stage is: $1.5M. Up to now we have been granted $875,000. We are still seeking the remaining funding of $ $625,000.
Fundraising for Tuvia
The Tuvia community is in a constant progress of growth. We started with ten children in 1993 and today we care for 60 children and adolescents. The children of Tuvia are survivors of neglect, violence and sexual abuse. Tuvia is a haven for them in which to heal from their injuries, to nurture their souls, and develop faith in their ability to create a happier future. The children of Tuvia community need your help. Your donation to The Tuvia Community-Kamah provides the children and youth the therapeutic environment they need to overcome their trauma and heal and break out of the cycle of distress. The children of Tuvia would be grateful for any size donation that will help them become proud members of Israeli Society.
nBuilding of a residential unit for adolescents and graduates - We intend to build a home for our adolescents and graduates who lack a family backing. A home to return to on their vacations from the army and national service.
nRenovation and expansion of our homes - Our homes are warm, vibrant spaces, but they receive much wear and tear. Your generosity helps keep them clean, freshly painted, and with enough space for all who need to use them.
n"The Road to Self Reliance" - Our first graduates completed the full program at Tuvia in August 2003. We created a continuing program in order to accompany their first steps outside of the supportive community of Tuvia.
During the following years we will expand our activity preparing them towards their graduation and integration in the military or national service.
The first stage of the project offers a rich program of activities that prepares the Tuvia youth for the army service and independent life outside of the community. The second stage provides support for graduates taking their first steps outside of the familiar protected surroundings. In this way, the Tuvia Community seeks to ensure that its members, who suffered from severe traumas, will be able to complete their rehabilitation and have a smooth transition into the Israeli army, and general society.
