Alongside of the daily work and household chores, Beit Elisha has structured a rich program of culture, enrichment, studies and celebrations.
Our cultural-spiritual activities are an important part of the theraputic process in the curative community. It enables each individual to experience him or her self as a whole human entity and participate in experiences shared by all human beings. The cultural and spiritual life in the Beit Elisha community is vitally linked to Israeli, Jewish and universal culture, enabling members of the community to experience their Jewish, Israeli and human identity.
Each work week is launched in a shared event of song and readings. In the afternoons, each member participates in a special-interest clubs choosing from sports, dance and movement, crafts and arts and music. Every Tuesday, the community meets for a Bible lesson where various issues relevant to the members' lives are discussed. Shabat is celebrated on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings in a festive atmosphere. Throughout the year, we celebrate the Jewish and Israeli holidays together as well as our own community celebrations, such as birthday parties, parents' days, and the like.
The Beit Elisha Studies:
Fridays are dedicated to studies. Each member chooses three courses each year, according to individual interests and abilities. Topics include culture, science, religion, nature, art and environment.
