In 2007 we inaugurated a new Learning Center for the children and youth of the Tuvia Community. Located in the Kamah Center, the Learning Center includes a study area, computer workstations and a library.
Learning Center activities take place in the afternoons and evenings. Students receive tutoring on a one-on-one basis or in small groups by remedial education teachers and tutors. A special emphasis is placed on helping high school students prepare for their matriculation exams. The Learning Center is run by a coordinator who maintains constant contact with the different schools and teachers.
The positive affect of the learning center has been felt throughout the Tuvia Community and corroborated by teachers' reports from the schools.
