Our Mission
Kamah believes that individuals have the right to live a rich and rewarding life in spite of their trauma or handicap.
Kamah seeks to rehabilitate: · At-risk children and youth and to provide them with the social skills and academic credentials necessary to live independent,
productive lives with social responsibility as fully
integrated members of Israeli society. · Cognitively and physically disabled adults and offer them the development of social and vocational skills and opportunities necessary to live creatively, productively and independently as possible.
Kamah’s curative community seeks to increase public awareness and offer activities and professional training in the
holistic treatment of at-risk children and special needs adults.
The Organization
Kamah’s offices and the majority of its activities take place at Kibbutz Harduf, however, Kamah is an independent association and is a separate legal entity. An active Board of Directors governs the Association.Guy Lapidot, the Executive Director, is a co-fonder of Kibbutz Harduf and one of the pioneers in the area of organic agriculture in Israel. The Board members are:
Arik Raz, Chairman
An organizational development consultant, Mr. Raz is a founder of the Gush Segev regional council in the Galilee. He served as the first chairperson of the Misgav Regional Council from 1982-1996. Since 1997, he has served as chairperson of the Misgav Development Council
Sharon Bareket, Secretary
Engineering education, journalism and advertising background. Mr. Bareket is the administrator of the Harduf Waldorf School and a resident of Harduf.
David Levy
Economist by profession. Director of the social and economical activity at Kibbutz Harduf. Held various senior positions in some of the largest Hi-Tec companies in Israel. David was a senior director in various companies before moving to economic enterprise in the social sphere. He was a founding partner in the building of a curative community for emotionally injured youth in the Galilee.
Yisrael Doron, J.D.
A jurist specializing in civil rights, Dr. Doron is a lecturer at Haifa University and a resident of Gilon. For his work in the public domain he won the 2006 prestigious Zusman - JDC prize.
Miriam Siaki
An economist, Ms. Siaki is a member of Kibbutz Brenner.
All of the Association’s activities have been awarded proper administration status (nihul takin) by the Israel Registrar of Non-Profit Organizations, and it has been granted tax-deductible status (section 46 a). An annual audit is conducted by of the accounting firm of Kosset, Forrer & Gabai in Haifa.
